Are Big Fury and Habibi Suitable for all age groups?
Big Fury is suitable for ages 3 years and upwards. Being an open-air speed boat and given that the weather and sea conditions around the Whitsunday Islands vary, Fury is more suited for the adventure traveller as we are not a ferry.
Habibi is geared towards the 14 years to 45 years and the young at heart being more of a social sailing cruise for those on a budget, as opposed to a couples only or luxury cruise.
Can I purchase drinks onboard or BYO?
Big Fury- you can purchase chilled bottled water, soft drinks and chocolates onboard. BYO ‘a few’ beers are permitted but please note no glass bottles and drinking alcohol during the day will prohibit you for participating in any snorkelling activity.
Habibi- tea/coffee/tap water/cordial included. BYO alcohol – no glass bottles or red wine
What do I need to bring?
Towel and bathers
Sunglasses, hat, sun screen
Practical clothing, foot wear you don’t mind getting wet
Warm clothes for winter months
Weather proof jacket for boat ride
Camera, bottle of water
Cash for any onboard purchases
BYO alcohol & ice (no glass bottles or red wine)

Can I cancel or change the date of my trip?
Big Fury – Cancellations within 24 hours of departure will forfeit the full cost of the trip. Date changes can be made up until 24 hours prior to the date of travel.
Habibi – Cancellations within 21 days of departure will forfeit the full cost of the trip. Date changes can be made up until 7 days prior to the date of travel.
Where do I sleep on Habibi 2 day / 1 night cruise?
Habibi offers both Private Double /Twin cabins ($25.00pp upgrade fee) or shared singles and doubles in an open plan setting. If the weather permits, Habibi has comfortable outdoor sleeping mats and blankets for guests wishing to sleep under the stars at night.
Is there car parking at the marina?
Both tours depart from Coral Sea Marina. There is a spacious open-plan car park located at the entrance of the marina (Southern Village). Pay and display Parking fees are $8.00 for the day payable at the machine kiosk by cash or card. From the Southern Village carpark follow the footpath a further 300m into the marina, (past Hawkes Boatyard and the Water Police Station) until you arrive at the Northern Village Roundabout. Our crew will be at meeting Point B by the roundabout. (Google Maps Sorrento’s Bar and Grill at the Northern Village to find the meeting point).
There is a smaller car park located at the Northern Village of Coral Sea Marina by the roundabout. Parking is $12.00 for the day.
Does your tour cater for special dietary requirements?
Big Fury and Habibi offer a set menu to cater to most dietary requirements including vegetarians. Please advise our reservations team at least 24 hours in advance if you are gluten free, vegan, lactose intolerant or have a nut allergy. We are unable to cater for halal or kosher diets. If passengers have an allergy or a special dietary requirement not mentioned above, we recommend that they take note of our menu and if it not suitable please feel free to bring additional food and snacks and we will happily place them in a cold esky. Please note passengers will not be able to cook for themselves onboard Habibi.
What if I have a medical condition?
Big Fury and Habibi – are not suitable for guests who are pregnant or with back or neck injuries or those recovering from recent surgery.
Fury is designed for riding over waves and as such may become ‘bouncy’ depending on the prevailing weather and sea conditions on the day. Passengers must complete a medical questionnaire and waiver prior to boarding which will further assess your suitability for our cruises.
How do I book in an Open Dated Ticket?
- All open dated tickets are valid for one year from the purchase date.
- Please use the book buttons on the site to place you booking online.
- All bookings MUST reconfirm 72 hours prior to departure during office hours (8 am – 7 pm). 07 4964 1188
- Open tickets MUST provide 14 days notice to book.
Where can I store my bags during the trip?
Big Fury – Due to space constraints, you cannot bring big bags, suit cases or child strollers onboard the vessel. A small backpack with beach wear is all you will need.
Habibi – A small overnight bag is all is permitted onboard your overnight sailing trip. Secure luggage storage at affordable rates for your larger bags and suit cases can be found at Magnums tour desk, 366 Shute Harbour Road, located next to McDonalds on Airlie Beach main street. (Open daily from 8.00am until 7.00pm).
Do I need travel insurance?
Adventure boating includes risks. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to actions which are beyond our control. We recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings, road closures, flooding and other natural disasters – especially during the wet season – which may cause you to miss your trip
How long do I spend at Whitehaven Beach?
Big Fury – spends about 1 hour at the Hill Inlet lookout and then takes guests by boat to the southern 7km long stretch of Whitehaven Beach for 2-2.5 hours including a picnic lunch on the beach.
Habibi – guided bush walk to the Hill Inlet Lookout and 3 hours at the Northern part of Whitehaven Beach.

Big Fury 35 passengers and 2 crew
Habibi 26 passengers and 2-3 crew
What days do your tours depart?
Big Fury departs daily from Coral Sea Marina at 10am sharp
Habibi our 2 day / 1 night sailing tour departs on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8.30am
Check-in for both tours is 30 mins prior to departure at Meet Point B, Northern Village, Coral Sea Marina by the big roundabout
Do you have prescription masks and wet suits available onboard?
Prescription masks can be hired from the Aqua Dive Shop, located at the Northern Village of Coral Sea Marina close to our guest meeting point. Rental fee is approx. $15.00 per day.
We provide full length lycra stinger suits free of charge but if you would prefer to hire a 3mm wet suit from the Aqua Dive Shop during the winter months, the cost of renting these wet suits is approx. $12.00 per day.
Can I bring my camera or phone onboard?
Passengers are responsible for their own personal belongings during the cruise. We do not have lockers for valuables onboard. Please note items may get wet onboard subject to the prevailing weather and sea conditions but the company Magic Whitsundays will take any responsibility for any lost or damaged personal items during the cruise. We recommend that our guest have travel insurance.
Do your tours adhere to Covid-19 Safe practices?
Magic Whitsundays have been awarded COVID-clean certification, meaning that we have reviewed our operations and implemented comprehensive COVID-safe business operations and hygiene protocols to keep our guests safe. We follow all health ad safety regulations to ensure that we meet all COVID-safe requirements.
